Sun, 30 March 2008 First Wave Radio #26 - Ken Boothe
I have recently become a big Ken Boothe fan. As with most legendary Jamaican artists, he has a huge discography….22 albums!! He has raw talent, conscious and apparently great live…I meant to do this show last week, as it was his birthday on Mar 22 but just ran outta time. Anyways, don't forget to tune in next week as I have a battle show, and I'm off to NY, New Orleans and Montego Bay! Can't Wait.

Sun, 9 March 2008 First Wave Radio #24 - The Electric Light Show
Ska Cubano is a great band. Members are from around the world. Apparently, Cuban music before the revolution was deeply inspired by music from the caribbean, especially calypso in the 40's and 50s. Because of the revolution not much contact was made between Cuba and the rest of the islands...Ska Cubano asks the question 'what if ska was introduced and influenenced Cuban music... An "alternative history" as you will. I start off the show with an epic intro from Electric Light Orchestra, which is totallly unneccessary but...hmm...I guess I just wanted to spread my wings a little.
Chango - Ska Cubano
Hold Me Tight - Jim Murple Memorial
Trip Back To Childhood - St. Petersburg Ska
Pachito El Che' - Ska Cubano
Every Time I Hear That Mellow Saxophone - Jim Murple Memorial
Duck Soup - Intensified
Charade - Begoña Bang-Matu
